So Beautiful...

The weekend was so beautiful. The weather was fabulous. I felt like a 5-year-old wanting to go outside and play, but work kept me in this weekend. However, I did get a few moments to sneak away on this Pentecost Sunday and see the LOVEworks sign in Lorton, VA, at the Workhouse Arts Center. A man was talking on the phone in an orange shirt in the corner, and it looked like Xanadu was playing based on the little chalked signs outside. Kids were also out on their bikes in groups, just enjoying the summer weather. They were the joy in the day and not those $5 and some change gas prices I saw leaving to go back home. I will find the little pleasures and the love that goes with them. Right now, at this moment, with all the mass shootings that occurred this past weekend, it's so necessary to remember the important things, like enjoying life and the things you love, in moderation, though. Ain't nobody trying to be Narcissus out here; we got enough of those.Lol, I guess that's why they call it Self-Care Sundays. :)
